Colourlock GLD Solvent Cleaner

Description

The GLD Solvent is for stubborn stains caused by strong discolouration, that are not easily removed by mild or strong leather cleaners.

Can be used to remove leather colours in preparation for recolouring with Colourlock Leather Fresh Dye

Discolouration is becoming increasingly common with light-coloured top-grain leather. This usually affects car and furniture leather and is caused by dyes from clothing or belts rubbing off onto the surface of the upholstery. The resulting discolouration cannot always be removed using common commercially-available cleaners.

First try and remove the stains with Colourlock Strong Leather Cleaner. Also use the Leather Cleaning Brush together with the strong leather cleaner. If this doesn’t solve the problem, then use the GLD Solvent. Do not rub - use a gentle wiping motion using a soft microfiber cloth.

Lightly damp a white cloth with GLD-Solvent and carefully clean the discolouration. Always test on a hidden area first. Because GLD-Solvent slightly dissolves the colour coating, take care not to remove too much. If too much colour is removed or visible stains remain, the areas can be re-coloured with Colourlock Leather Fresh Dye.

To avoid further discolouration, the leather should be regularly protected with Colourlock Leather Shield. Leather Shield is a good protection against discolouration. Only apply Leather Shield on clean leather.

Application areas: Car Leather, Furniture Leather, Bags & Accessories, Leather Clothing.
