Wet sanding, or damp sanding can be done by hand or by machine.

Damp sanding is a term for sanding with a machine using minimum water with less mess. The use of denim or x-cut pads can be used for damp sanding together with your choice of air or electric machine. Always use an interface pad to prevent "Edge Cut In" and preferably use a short stroke orbital DA Sander / Machine of 6mm or less.
